Mark W. Leathers is a senior executive with 30 years of experience in the management and delivery of human resource development and career management programs. Following his corporate executive experience, Mark founded Leathers Milligan & Associates - OI Partners, in 1995 with the aim of assisting executives, managers and professionals in improving their personal skills and performance, and also the performance of their teams and organizations. Mark’s key areas of focus include coaching, career transition, management training and team building. Mark has coached dozens of executives and worked with teams across a wide range of industries. For 2007 – 2009 Mark was also Chairman of OI Partners, Inc., an international talent management and leadership development organization.

Mark’s previous professional background includes senior level positions with Bell Atlantic Systems Leasing (formerly Greyhound Capital Corporation), Kroy, Inc., Armour Food Company and Armour-Dial. As Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Bell Atlantic Systems Leasing, he focused on the development of key management personnel and served as counsel to senior level executives on a variety of management issues.

During his years with Armour Food Company, Mark was responsible for all employee and labor relations activities for one of the food divisions. He also held responsibility for training and development, instituting programs for performance management, and management development.

Mark holds a BA in Business Administration and a Master of Counseling degree. He received special recognition for his graduate work in counseling and he holds the credential of Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in counseling psychology at Northern Arizona University.

Mark is a past president of the Prescott Area Human Resources Association and led the effort in 2002 to have the group become the sixth chapter in Arizona to be affiliated with the national Society for Human Resources Management. Mark is also a Past President of the Arizona Career Development Association and participates in a number of professional groups including, Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association, and International Association of Career Management Professionals. He has taught human resources and management courses at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona.

As a guest speaker, he has presented at the Arizona Career Development Association’s statewide conference, the Human Resources Committee of the Arizona Bankers Association, Professional Women’s Association at Arizona State University, the Phoenix chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and the American Bankers’ Association. Topics presented include effective management, executive coaching, employee recruitment and retention, and interpersonal communications.
