May 20, 2008 — Leathers Milligan presents innovative course to hone ASU students’ career management skills and attractiveness to employers

Phoenix, Arizona. . .To help provide students expanded career management training and greater employment opportunities, Leathers Milligan & Associates - OI Partners designed a core curriculum and presented a pilot course that has just concluded. Their “College to Career – Solving the Job Search Puzzle” module was Phase 1 of a three-phase Professional Development certificate offered through The New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences and The School of Global Management and Leadership at ASU. May 14, 2008 — Liberal Arts students receive a liberal dose of career skills - Professionals provide free training

What’s next after you take off that cap and gown? Answering that question is potentially more complicated for students earning their bachelor’s degrees in liberal arts fields than in professional programs.

This spring, students in ASU’s New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences received free training from professionals in the career planning field, along with advice from individuals in a variety of professions, to help them answer this and other career questions with confidence.

Trainers from Leathers Milligan/OI Partners led students through a series of workshops on topics such as assessing one’s skills and interests, researching potential employers, resume writing, and interviewing skills.
